Big News: Camp Winnebago Returns in 2028!

Dear Winnebago Family,

We’re thrilled to announce that Camp Winnebago (formerly GNR), Winnebago’s signature owner homecoming event in Forest City, Iowa, will return in 2028 - perfectly timed to celebrate Winnebago’s 70th anniversary alongside our cherished community.

Based on the considerable feedback we’ve gathered about the timing and weather of past events, we’ll also be shifting Camp Winnebago to either Spring or Fall to create a more convenient and enjoyable experience for attendees.

Final scheduling will be officially announced by the end of 2026. As we get closer, we will share more details through email and the Camp Winnebago page on Winnebago's website, including dates, registration, and opportunities to get involved.

Our vision for the 2028 Camp Winnebago 70th Anniversary Event is to expand opportunities for engagement and create an experience that honors our storied heritage while introducing exciting new ways to celebrate the Winnebago lifestyle and embrace our bright future together for the next 70 years.

The Road to Camp Winnebago 2028

Between now and 2028, we’ll continue to listen, learn, and incorporate feedback from our owner community, building on the insights we gained from Camp Winnebago - On the Road, when we spent the past year attending several owner events across the country. You’ll also see us supporting more community events along the way in 2026 and 2027, as we continue to connect and gain insights from our diverse owner community.

In the meantime – several Winnebago Community/Owner Groups have expressed interest in utilizing the rally grounds during the upcoming camping seasons for their events.
