"What's within you is stronger than what's in your way."

That motivational mantra belongs to No Barriers – an organization focused on creating inclusivity and offering inspiration to push past obstacles. Which is why it is no surprise that they found a way to push through the challenge of not being able to have their No Barriers Summit in person this year due to COVID-19. They have instead used this as an opportunity to host a fully-accessible virtual live event!

About the 2020 No Barriers Virtual Summit

On June 26th and 27th, the No Barriers Virtual Summit invites attendees to “lean into the discomfort, push past complacency and find your invincible self.” The event is created for those who want to break the barriers they face involving a disability, illness, discrimination, loss, or other personal struggle. It is also an opportunity for business owners, educators, and leaders to learn how to empower positive change in others. And it isn’t too late to sign up to attend!

They are offering FREE access to the main stage sessions, or the full ticket to this two-day event is $20. In addition to the many motivational speakers, performances, and adaptive activity sessions, this event is also an opportunity to connect with an uplifting community of like-minded people through networking opportunities and tools.

As a Winnebago Industries Foundation partner, the Company is participating in the event by supporting various sessions on Friday and Saturday:

Let last year’s event inspire you to join!

While the 2020 No Barriers Summit is the first to be virtual, the No Barriers team has been hosting the summits for years - which many attendees describe as ‘life-changing.’ However, the organization also offers ongoing community and educational opportunities, as well as support programs for caregivers, veterans, youth, and educators.

The goal of the organization is to use transformative experiences, tools, and inspiration to help others unleash their potential and have a positive impact on the world. The co-founder of No Barriers, Erik Weihenmayer, is the embodiment of that goal as the first blind climber in history to reach the summit of the world’s highest mountain, Mount Everest. He has also kayaked the entire 277-miles of the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon.

As Kelli Harms, part of Winnebago's Marketing Team, shared in this article about the event, the No Barriers Summit is about encouragement and transformation. As well as “knowing that you have a support team willing to pick you up after you fall.”

Winnebago is excited about what the No Barriers Summit has to offer and is proud to be a foundation sponsor of this year’s virtual event. It is inspiring to see this community creatively ensure that they continue to spread encouragement and positivity.
