1. Extra Lighting
Greg added a powerful light rack to his Winnebago EKKO, along with other additional exterior lights for boondocking in the forest. He has side lights to look down side roads and a bright top light bar to have plenty of light when getting setup after dark. The lights are controlled through a switchboard he had installed inside, as well as through an app on his phone.
2. Smart Solar
Beth has added high-tech solar panels that track the sun using GPS and automatically rotate to get the most solar power possible. At night, they go into sleep mode. Beth raves about the additional solar power this has allowed them to have - even enough to run their ice maker without the generator.
3. Crane for Roof Storage
Mark and his wife travel with a massive two-person paddleboard that was extremely difficult and unsafe to get on the roof, even with two people. So they installed a crane to lift items onto the roof using a remote control. The crane disassembles easily and stores on the roof for travel.
The inside of his Winnebago EKKO is also definitely worth a look. It has a beautiful, creative design with wood accents!
4. Upgraded Kitchen Amenities
Jason shows off that they have added the largest sink they could find (about the size of an apartment sink). As coffee lovers, they also travel with an espresso machine – which happens to fit perfectly in the sink for travel days.
He also shares about his setup for working from the road! (Learn more about working in your RV here.)
5. Extra Off-Road Gear
Pam shares about the off-road-focused mods they have added to be able to get on and off more rugged roads. Although the EKKO already has some off-road features, she and her travel partner wanted a little more so they decided to add additional suspension, additional lighting, upgraded tires, skid plates, and a winch.
6. Exterior Wraps
See some examples of custom EKKO wraps in the video, and hear why John chose his Arizona-themed wrap. Learn how he worked with a designer to get a custom wrap and how long it took to get it installed.
