Top 3 Benefits of Going to the Winnebago Factory Service Center

From the warm greeting at the reception desk to being briefed by your service advisor and technician, the team at the Winnebago Factory Service Center makes it a point to create an efficient and positive experience for owners. And with their large-scale operation (including 38 bays), they are able to work on many RVs at once!

1. Get Service Done By Winnebago Experts

Since the team at the Winnebago Factory Service Center only works on Winnebago motorhomes, they have advanced knowledge about the features and components of Winnebago RVs that surpass what is possible at the dealer level. Many technicians have even been working at Winnebago for decades. Plus, the technicians can simply walk over and pick up the parts in person!

2. The Team Can Do Repairs That Dealers Can't

At the Winnebago Factory Service Center, they can do more advanced work than most dealers, such as wall and roof replacements. They can even work on older Winnebago motorhomes and do so often. That is because they are able to fabricate parts when needed, or get parts for older RVs that others may think are obsolete. Having the parts readily available offers a huge advantage since a dealer would have to order the parts and wait for delivery.

3. Spend the Night in Your RV at the On-Site Camping Area

If you take your Winnebago to the factory for service, you usually won't have to be without your rolling home for the night. In most situations, the team will be able to get your RV back to you to sleep in if your service appointment takes multiple days. There is even a convenient campground for service customers. It is electric-only camping with a variety of 50-amp and 30-amp plugins, so be sure to bring your adaptors just in case.

Pro Tip: Don't forget to make an appointment for the best results!

Calling ahead to schedule your Winnebago Factory Service Center visit allows the team to have the parts they need ready, technicians available to work on it, and a better plan to get the coach to you each night. Walk-ins are possible, but the number of items you can have repaired is limited to seven, and you will have to wait until a technician is available. If you are ready to schedule your appointment, call (866) 311-7133.

I brought my Adventurer Class A to the factory for repairs in October 2024. I agree with everything this article has to say about the advantage of going to the factory for service. The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful, my service tech had worked on the manufacturing floor for years, so he knew the WB product and the end price was very reasonable. Winnebago even found an issue I did not know about and fixed it, plus Winnebago replaced the bathroom skylight free of charge because Winnebago was not pleased with the durability of the original skylight. What other manufacturer or dealer would do that? The factory service advantage was made more clear to me with a recent dealer experience that was the complete opposite of the Winnebago factory service center - 22 days for 2.5 labor hours and a $35 part. I did not make the 2,000 mile roundtrip again because of the minor issues involved. But, I could have made the trip and back in far less than the 22 days I had to wait for my unit at a terrible dealer service department.

Getting service and repairs at the factory sounds great. Driving 2,000 miles to get service and repairs doesn't work for us,especially at 85. We have been at GNR 12 times, but have stopped coming because of the distance and because the seminars didn't have relevance to our 2005 Journey.
