It was the WOW 50th Anniversary this year!

With our 8 coaches there were 28 rigs there.  MVW were in charges of the silent auction Sue Hoile did a great job. It was a weekend filled to the brim with activities. The River City Winnies and Dan Hoile out did themselves. Thursday registration started at 10 AM. Lunch was on our own. The last rig pulled in by 4 PM just in time for the opening ceremonies. The police presented the colors after which a few awards were presented. Fay martin was presented a bouquet of flowers with a gift card for being the longest member of WIT since 1987. The Stephenson’s for the oldest WIT number, so they became the King and Queen of the Prom.

Friday morning SkyMed sponsored our breakfast of Bacon, eggs and toast. While the Presidents meeting was in session, LeAnne Hastin taught line dancing. Next was an Internet Security Seminar, then came a Block Glass Class. All this happened before lunch. After lunch was the Cake Walk. We had more Cakes than contestants. MVW was in charge of the Bean Bag Baseball game and the Ice Cream Social with cake to follow.

At 4 PM Money Hat and Silent Auction tickets were sold during our free time. When 5:30 PM arrived, we sat down to our 2” pork chop catered dinner. Followed by the Silent Auction drawing, Money Hat and 50/50 drawing and a frig/freezer drawing, which was donated.  Finally, a rest, a catered chicken and rib dinner. To end the night David Crone a ventriloquist preformed. He was great.

Saturday our pancake, sausage breakfast was followed by a 10 AM membership meeting.  On to our next class which happen to be a yoga class. Next there was a mesh wreath class.  All this was done before the lunch truck arrived. In the afternoon there was a Bike Maintenance class, line dancing and a Golf Card Rodeo.

In Celina Ohio, we have a lot to do. Its all-hands-on deck. Geez I’m exhausted. Then hurry back to the rigs to get dressed for the Senior Prom Revisited at 8PM.  Our DJ played and sang the music of the 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s. Everyone looked beautiful in their gowns and tux.

Sunday after donut and coffee breakfast and a church service it was so long till next year. River City Winnies did a great job.
