OH: Maumee Valley Winnies

Our November dinner was held at Doc’s Rib Cage in Tontogony, Ohio. The dinner was huge success thanks to Deb and Dave Brenner and Sue and Dan Hoile.  The restaurant is usually closed on Sundays but the Waitresses and cooks made it very special for our group.  So, if you are ever near Doc’s Rib Cage stop in and say Hi. By the way, the food was excellent and you will not leave hungry.  The had BBQ Ribs, steaks and salads for us to choose from. I was told it was one of the largest gathering for dinner yet.  Our new members Marvin and Carol Himmelein from Perrysburg were introduced to the group.

The 50/50 was split between Diane Puckett and Art Maust.  Besides the 50/50 drawings there were other prizes consisting of Frog Plate made by Deb Brenner Pillows, Angels, Place Mats.  Thanks again to the Brenner’s and Hoile’s for all their hard work.

In the travels this year Cris and LeAnna Hastin stopped by to visit the Tom and Sally Reynolds who now reside in Toccoa, Georgia.  The have 4 dry campsites on their property and welcome anyone from the group who are in the neighborhood to stop by. Jim Stockner is in the Nursing Home, and I did not get the name.  I will let you know more next month. Pricilla Stockner reminded the group that Anne Bashore is our Sunshine Committee, so if you know of anyone in the hospital, ill at home or family members who passed away contact Anne at 419-893-9698 or e-mail her at [email protected] and she will see that they get a card.

I am sure some of our members are already in warmer places, while others are getting ready to leave.  Those of us who remain in the area have their campers winterized.  Ours is winterized and we were able to locate a place for it to be in a heated building.  I cannot wait till April when we can bring it out and start using it once again.  This year has gone by way to fast.

I would like to wish everyone a HAPPY THANKSGIVING.
