MO: Chief Winnies

President’s Message

As I sit down to write this month’s column for the newsletter Bobbi and I are packing for yet another trip! Yes, we’ve been doing a lot of traveling the past few months and it seems like it’s going to continue for the foreseeable future. But, hey, isn’t that what retirement is all about. Aren’t we supposed to do the things we want to do? We were sure sorry to miss out on a fun (maybe a bit cold) weekend campout in Branson this month. It looked like we had a pretty good turnout. Thanks
again to Terry & Vickie Day for hosting the club at Treasure Lake and also to Jane & Dix for co-hosting. I hope that many of you will be able to make to our December luncheon at the Terrace Buffet at the Argosy Casino (777 NW Argosy Casino Parkway, Riverside, MO 64510). We have a private room for our luncheon. We’ll start our gathering/visiting around 11:00am, lunch at 11:30am and continue visiting till whenever. We’ll also have a short business meeting and if you’d like to participate, we’ll have a ‘white elephant’ gift exchange. Bring a gift (< $20) to exchange, it can be RV related or not – your choice. When you’re finished, the casino is always open for some gaming – if you’re feeling lucky or so inclined.
Many of us will be headed out of town (& out of the cold) during January & February. We will not have any club meeting in January. If you’re in the Rio Grande Valley on January 29th, please make plans to attend our Texas Winter luncheon at the Longhorn Cattle Co, 3055 West Expressway 83, San Benito, TX. Contact our host, Rick Kennedy, to let him know you’re planning to be there or if you have any questions. If you’re in town in February, Don & Betsy Wright are hosting the Chief Winnies February luncheon at their home. Please let Don & Betsy know if you’ll be attending.

The Chief Winnies have had a terrific 2019. We’ve had some great campouts, a lot of fun at GNR, and a memorable President’s Caravan through Kentucky – Bourbon, Caves, Corvettes, and Horseracing! I’m looking forward to 2020!

Enjoy the holidays and travel safe!
Chris Prinslow
