MA: Quinebagos

Massachusetts - Quinebagos Local Chapter by Pat Kane

Folks started arriving at Oak Haven Campground in Wales, MA on Wednesday and by Friday evening there were 18 Winnebago coaches in the field! Everyone was happy to be able to spend time traveling and enjoying the company of fellow WIT members albeit socially distanced. Participants enjoyed the campfires, good conversation and seeing old friends as well as having some of our Connecticut WIT club friends with us. And it was great to meet new friends as well. A special welcome goes out to our guests Michelle Norstrom and Paul & Torrie St Laurent who were at a WIT campout for the first time. And I am happy to announce Paul & Torrie are now our newest members.

As usual some folks explored the area. Others took the opportunity to take long walks. Everyone enjoyed talking with each other. There was also some good fun, were those orange cones on top of a coach and a jeep??? A Pilgrim Winnies State meeting was held and the new officers were sworn in by the Quinebagos President, Jim Slattery. The new State officers are Brian Martel as President, Tony Paciulli as Vice President, and Linda Martel as Secretary and Treasurer. Although we were unable "to break bread" with each other we were able to spend time together and share in the friendship that we have together.

Wishing everyone safe travels and looking forward to when we will be together again.
