2020 October State Meeting News

River Vista RV Resort, Dillard, Georgia

Our gracious hosts were John and Leslie Keener and there were 16 members and 2 guests in attendance. Members who attended were Dennis Harrison, Fred and Linda Tomsett, Lyn Brown, Roy and Sarah Sowers, John and Leslie Keener, Bobby and Wanda Eubanks, Fred and Kathy Genrich, Allen and Patty Wheelus and Jim and Barbara Bell. Our guests where Bill and Rita Sax with SkyMed.

On Thursday, all members went to the Cupboard Café in Dillard for a great dinner. They had the best tasting all-you-can-eat shrimp. After dinner we enjoyed a beautiful, warm fire at Allen and Patty’s coach. Friday morning we were treated to a nice lunch provided by Bill and Rita Sax while they presented the information about SkyMed. Friday evening we all went to dinner at The Dillard House and enjoyed the all-you-can- eat home style food. They brought endless bowls and plates of food to the table and the meal ended with a delicious Apple Betty topped with ice cream. After dinner we enjoyed playing two games of Chase the Ace at the Mountain Village Center meeting room.

On Saturday, we all met at the meeting room for a wonderful breakfast of breakfast casserole, fresh fruit and juice. After breakfast we had a short business meeting. Members spent Saturday on their own and then we enjoyed visiting during “Happy Hour” with attendees bringing an appetizer to share. A very tasty dinner of BBQ ribs, potato salad, coleslaw, cornbread and some members brought a variety of desserts followed. After dinner, we had a lot of fun playing two games of Chase the Ace in the meeting room.
Sunday everyone headed onto their next adventure.
