President’s Message
Rick Cordt

Hi Chief Winnies,

Spring is here and we’re ready to hit the road! Terry & Vickie Day’s shakeout campout is com-ing up in Louisburg, Kansas, the weekend of April 8th. We’re looking forward to getting our camping season started. The Winnie-Mo-Tasca state meeting in Cape Girardeau will be held April 22-24. The Gateway Winnies are hosting and they have a lot of fun activities planned for the group.

We had a great luncheon at Don & Betsy Wright’s house on the 12th. It was fun seeing everyone and catching up. Don went over a checklist for motorhomes. It was “Order for Starting RV’s”. It’s always useful to get more information for coach care.

The reservation information for the President’s Caravan in September is complete. You need to make these reservations as soon as possible since the RV parks won’t hold the sites too long, if at all. There are a lot of things to do in South Dakota, and we’ll have more information on those activities at a later date.

The Grand National Rally in Forest City is July 12-22. Registration will be opening sometime this month, so watch for that notice. The theme this year is “Driving Route 66”.
I hope everyone has a happy Easter and safe travels!

- Rick

The Winnie-MO-Tasca State Meeting will be held at Cape RV Park in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, the weekend of April 22. The Gateway Winnies are hosts, and they’ve planned a fun schedule of activities for that weekend. We look forward to seeing everyone as we begin another season of good times camping with our Winnie friends from around the state.

Note: Lunch provided by SkyMed has been added to Friday’s agenda. It looks like sub sandwiches at 12.00 pm. Join us and find out what’s new, or sign up if you’re not a mem-ber yet.

MARCH LUNCHEON
Betsy & Don Wright hosted the March luncheon in their home. Seventeen Chief Winnies thoroughly en-joyed the Irish theme and menu. Thank you Don and Betsy for going above and beyond for this much ap-preciated luncheon!
