Green Country Winnies March 2020 Newsletter

Donna and I are finally starting to pick up the reins from Bob & Debbie Adamson and getting going on our duties. We sincerely hope all of you are well and remain that way. Both of us are still healthy. My new knee is coming along good. It is still tender and gets stiff if I sit too long. I had a checkup with my surgeon on March 12th. He was very happy with how my knee is doing. All my painful rehab has really paid off.
This is a whole new world that all of us are starting to navigate. We hope that all of you still have an ample supply of toilet paper. That seems like a joke but for those who don’t have enough toilet paper I’m sure it isn’t funny.

The March 19th – 22nd Okiebago outing wasn’t cancelled but there were only five people there: Darrel Carver, Bob & Debbie Adamson and Mike & Susie Grimes.
Because of the coronavirus we are cancelling the Green Country Winnies April 16th – 19th outing to Robbers Cave. There is a good chance that the May 13th – 17th outing to Eureka Springs will be cancelled but we’ll wait until the beginning of May to make that decision. We feel we have to practice social distancing to do our part in keeping all of us healthy. We will all get past this. Then we will have fun outings and share our stories about this time.

On the lighter side - some friends from Sunday school sent the following to us:
REMINDER: 9pm is the time to remove your day pajamas and put on your night pajamas.

Sad note: Thelma Miller, a long-time honorary member, passed away on November 9, 2019 in Broken Arrow. She was 98 years old.
