OH: Buckeye Winnies

The following Buckeye Winnies gathered at Olesia’s Taverne of Richfield: Dan Anderson, Faith and Stan Caniglia, Sandy and Marlin Geesaman, Gail Peckman, Nancie and Rick Stephenson, Barb and Jim Stewart, Kathy and Tom Sutliff and, of course, our hostess and host Julie and Len Zevchek. The Buckeye Winnies welcomed its guests and newest members Sue and Joe Payton.

Olesia’s offered outside seating but the group decided to eat indoors. After a charming lunch and great conversation, the group was entertained by a tour of Olesia’s Taverne of Richfield. The group was told approximately 19,650 pennies were used to cover the bar surface.

The wooden ceiling is made from the hull of a boat.

We were told this mural was discovered behind a wall during renovations.

This ornate fireplace was in the room where we dined.

The food was delectable and the tour was an added bonus!
