MA: Quinebagos

Massachusetts Quinebagos Local Chapter by Pat Kane

The April campout took place at Circle CG Farm Campground, Bellingham, MA from April 15 to 19, 2021. Several folks arrived on Thursday to start the first camping weekend of the summer season. All in all, there were 11 coaches in place by Friday evening. The weather report for the weekend was less than stellar. Friday, a travel day for some, had rain and snow for all of us. A very cold, windy winter like day. Temperatures were in the mid-thirties with a "feels like" temperature of 27 degrees! Winter camping anyone? Needless to say, there was not a-lot of hanging out together as we all hunkered down in our coaches trying to stay warm. Saturday proved to be gray and cold with intermittent showers. Folks went out exploring the area and shopping. The afternoon provided us with warmer temperatures and we were able to enjoy a fire and conversation with our fellow WIT club members. Sunday proved to be a great outside day. The fire burned all day and into the evening. It served as a meeting area for everyone. Lots of sharing laughs, snacks, walks and planning for camping this season took place. Once again Monday, the final day of the campout, was the best day of all. Why is that the case so often? Many of us were able to enjoy the morning sitting around and talking. All too soon it was time to fire up the motorhomes and head home.

Till next time, safe travels!
