Steamboat CO – Steamboat KOA – Aug 18-22, 2022

Well, we had another fun trip to Steamboat with some additional activities from years past. We were well attended with 14 RV’s and 27 fun loving folks. Thursday night Tom and Sandy orchestrated a delicious taco meal. Friday we visited the Tread of Pioneers museum containing local history and some stayed for a speaker who explained the Flattop Wilderness project. That evening, of course, we had happy hour and a catered meal of Lasagna or Chicken. Lots of fun and fellowship.

Saturday we all went to Howelson Arena for bumper boats on ice. It was as fun to watch as to participate with plenty of spinning and ramming going on. Some even went twice.

That evening we went to the local, last in the year’s series, rodeo.  Very entertaining with some kiddo events which were very funny.

Sunday we arrived early at the Botanical Gardens for a guided tour.  It rained on our parade but did not reduce the interest and enjoyment of the extensive gardens.  That evening, after Happy Hour of course, we enjoyed a potluck dinner.

Monday we had a Wagon master cooked bacon and egg breakfast and then packed ‘er up and headed home. We, of course, had a business meeting and shirt day mixed in and all of us really enjoyed the club outing and seeing friends old and new (not age). Kudos to hardworking folks, Tom and Sandy Gormley and Bruce and Susan Robinson for making it a wonderful weekend.
